ABA Services in the home environment are provided by both BCBA’s and RBTs. Before services begin, the BCBA conducts an assessment that includes interviews with parents/caregivers, observations of the child and direct probing of skills.
With parent/caregiver input, goals are developed and the BCBA creates a treatment plan to teach skill deficits. If the child demonstrates challenging behaviors, the BCBA will collect data on the behaviors and will create a Behavior Intervention Plan.
RBTs are responsible for implementing the Treatment/Behavior Plan and taking data on both targeted skills and challenging behavior. The responsibility of the BCBA is to analyze the data, make any necessary changes to the programs and to provide feedback to the RBTs. The BCBA will also meet with the parents/caregivers weekly or bi-weekly to provide support and training.
Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)
